Greetings ALSSAMT member,
Happy New Year,
Hopefully, everyone is continuing to stay healthy as we battle COVID-19. This year is looking to be a positive year as cases start to decline as we start getting vaccinations out to the public. Please consider getting your vaccine if you have not already to help prevent spread of this deadly virus.
As we begin the new year, we are still unable to have any in person activities and we hope to be in person again as soon as this fall. Since we are virtual, we will be doing a zoom meet and greet on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm (CST) where you will be able to sign on using your phone, iPad or computer and you will be able to get to know your colleagues and state officers to ask questions and to learn more about your state society. Please join us in this face-to-face interaction and make some new friends. I will be posting the link under the meeting section of the website to join the meeting and will also send out an email blast.
The Spring Educational Session and Business meeting will be held virtually and will be held on April 24, 2021 so please join us and earn 2 free continuing education credits. We will be sending a link out on how you can log on and participate. If you have any question about the meeting please feel free to email me at email@example.com or refer to the meetings page of the website.
The 2021 National Convention is Norfolk, Virginia has been cancelled therefore it will be held virtually where members will be able to earn CEU’s and participate in online communities. If you are interested and being appointed as a delegate for this year’s virtual meeting, please feel free to reach out to me for more information.
I would like to congratulate the new Southern District Councillor Anna Catron, MT (AMT) of Galax, Virginia who was recently appointed to the position. She will be available to meet with each one of you that attend the virtual session. I know she will do a great job and we look forward to working with her.
I look forward to meeting all of you soon, and as always, continue being the healthcare hero’s that you are.
Daniel Benson RMA, (AMT), RPT (AMT)
