Help Develop Certification Examinations

Contribute your expertise if you are actively AMT-certified and working or instructing in any of these areas…

  • Molecular Diagnostics Technologists (MDT)
  • Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT)
  • Registered Phlebotomy Technicians (RPT)
  • Medical Laboratory Assistants (CMLA)
  • Medical Administrative Specialists (CMAS)
  • Registered Medical Assistants (RMA)
  • Registered Dental Assistants (RDA)
  • Patient Care Technicians (PCT)

Serve on the EQS (Examination, Qualifications and Standards Committee)

AMT relies on certified practitioners and instructors for input on new exam content. Each certification program has a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) that work with testing staff to develop examinations.

*In addition to experienced participants, AMT needs individuals newer to the field (1-3 years) to help keep tests current with professional expectations.

Join an Item Writing Team

Help create exam content while working directly with AMT testing staff as a qualified and experienced item writer. Writers will develop item pools representing tasks and knowledge areas assessed on exams.

Member Recognition

I am certified as an RMA since 2003. Currently, I am both a laboratory assistant/lead phlebotomist at a county hospital and a phlebotomy instructor at a community and technical college. My AMT leadership roles include proudly serving on the AMT national board from 2017 to 2020 and as the Kentucky State Society Vice President.
