The National Infantry Museum emphasizes the values that define the Infantryman, as well as the nation he protects: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. It preserves and displays one of the greatest collections of military artifacts in the world, but it is a museum of people, not things. As a visitor, you will meet the Infantryman face to face and join him on his journey. The 190,000-square-foot museum opened in June 2009 on a 200-acre tract of hardwoods and pines just outside the gates of the Fort Benning Maneuver Center of Excellence

From the Desk of Your President

Greetings Georgia State Society Members,

Summer has come and gone; we attended The National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. Georgia had 90+ days with no rain, and temperatures in the 90s. Now that's all behind us. Fall has come with cold mornings and warmer afternoons, but it has brought us some beautiful trees (all the reds, golds, yellows, and browns). When fall arrives we start holding State Fall Meetings. Yes, we just finished on October 25-26, 2019 in McDonough, Georgia at Hilton Garden Inn at I-75 and exit 218. We had a great meeting with the attendance of 22 excited members, 6 dynamic speakers and 2 patient spouses. Several members registered online and others mailed theirs in to our Treasurer. The Business meeting was held during lunch. In the past when Business meetings were held at the end, most members would leave, so we thought in order to increase the attendance, we'd try lunch and meeting together. Well everyone attended. The meeting was a long one, so we recessed and reconvened at the end of the classes.

Congratulations go out to all The RMAs who celebrated RMA Week a few weeks ago.

Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Holidays Season.

Next Year, we hope to see you at the Spring Meeting, tentatively scheduled for March 6-7, 2020, with ASCLS-AL, at Wellstar Development Center, 2000 Park Pl. SE Marietta, Ga 30339. (The same place where we were for the spring meeting). Check the Website for further details.

The next Annual AMT Convention will be held July 13-17, 2020 in Albequerque, New Mexico at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. You are always welcome to join us at any State and/or National Meetings. We strive to make these meetings educational, entertaining, and fun. So plan to come on and join us, we'd love to have you. "Once you attend you will attend again".

Respectfully,
Hattie Gallon, MT(AMT)
