Greetings to all. I hope everyone is doing well. We had a very eventful year, and we should take a moment to reflect and honor our resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. I am looking forward to in-person meetings but for now we are happy to announce we are working on ways to host upcoming education seminars virtually. We are tentatively planning for an educational seminar on Saturday May 22, 2021. Please check our AMT website for details and updates.
If you are interested in becoming part of the NYSSAMT or would like to join one of our committees, you can contact me or any of the board members via email at NYSSAMT01@gmail.com. Student and their schools are also invited to be part of the Student Challenge Bowl held during our Annual Meeting. The next AMT Annual Meeting will be held on July 19-23, 2021. Any member or student interested in submitting an article for publication, may reach out to us for qualification information. I encourage members to visit the AMT learning center for a wide range of continuing education sessions that are easily available online.
I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate and recognize our Medical Lab Professionals on their recognition week April 18-24, 2021. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication especially during this difficult year. If you or a family member needs any information regarding vaccine safety or scheduling an appointment to receive a vaccine you call 311 or visit nyc.gov/covidvaccine.
