Season's Greetings and Organizational Update

Greetings to all NYSSAMT Members,

As fall draws to a close and winter and Christmas are upon us, I want to extend my warmest wishes. I wish you and your loved ones Happy Holidays and a joyful New Year.

The closeness of the season also brings news about our society. The New York State Society of American Medical Technologists (NYSSAMT) successfully held its elections and Scientific Meeting last month, marking an exciting and productive transition for our organization.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Carmencita Calalang, MT(AMT), your newly elected NYSSAMT President. I am based in Cortland, in Upstate New York.

I am honored by the trust you have placed in me and am eager to begin working collaboratively with all of you to advance the goals of NYSSAMT in 2026.
