REACH Certificate Program

The REACH Certificate Program offers online training focused on a specialty area or specific skillset. At the successful conclusion of each course, the healthcare professional is awarded a certificate to signify mastery of the subject-matter. In addition, a digital badge is issued that can be shared via social media with employers and other interested parties.

Each REACH certificate course is available online and varies in length. The courses are self-paced, not moderated, and can be taken on any computer.  Average length of a course is 5 hours and grants an equivalent number of CE points. They are modular with multiple lessons and quizzes within each module. The quizzes can be taken multiple times but the final assessment, usually around 100 questions, is only taken once. After passing the assessment, the participant is awarded a certificate and a digital badge. Certificates have an expiration date.

Follow these easy steps to learn and show your professional commitment:

  • REVIEW: Review the criteria for your desired topic to ensure you are eligible to take the course
  • PURCHASE: If you’re already an AMT certified member, use your existing AMT ID# to log in and purchase the course through the online store.  If not a member, first register to create an account before making the purchase.
  • ACCESS THE COURSE: Once you log in, access the course through the secure “My Homepage”. The course will be listed under the Online Training/Purchased Online Courses section. You will have 90 days to complete the course and final assessment.
  • COMPLETE THE COURSE: The course is self-paced and can be stopped/started at any time during the 90-day period.  While we advise that you initially proceed through the course in a sequential manner, you are not required to do so, though you will not have access to the final assessment until all modules in the course are complete.  You are also encouraged to go back and review any material in the course.
The course has multiple modules with short quizzes at the end of each module.  The quizzes can be taken up to 4 times each.  After completing the entire course, proceed to the final assessment. Please note that you can only take the final assessment ONCE. The final assessment is multiple-choice and consists of approximately 100 questions.
  • OBTAIN CERTIFICATE AND BADGE: After successfully passing the assessment, you will be able to print your certificate.  You will receive an email notification from Acclaim on how to claim your badge.  You will be given instructions on how to claim your digital badge that you can show to your employer, include in your resume, or share on social media.
  • MAINTAINING THE CERTIFICATE: Depending on the topic, each certificate may have an expiration date. If so, retraining and/or a refresher course may be required in the future.

Note: Individuals successfully completing a REACH certificate program may signify their achievement by using the following terminology: “Certificate in xx”.

(NOTE: Credential initials after an individual’s name (e.g., John Smith, RMA) are reserved for certification only.)

Digital badges are a great way to showcase your achievement! Digital badges can be linked and/or shared through social media or any other online tool, such as electronic resumes.

Digital badges contain specific metadata that indicate who the issuer is, what the individual has achieved, the expiration date, and other important information.  AMT's digital badges are issued through its certification partner Pearson VUE's badging platform, Acclaim.

An individual who has successfully completed a course will be provided specific instructions how to claim and use the badge.

You will receive an email notification from Acclaim on how to claim your digital badge. You will be given instructions on how to claim your digital badge that you can show to your employer, include in your resume, or share on social media.

Digital badges are only issued to individuals who successfully complete a REACH certificate course.
