President's Message

Dear Arizona AMT members,

I hope you are all doing well. The Arizona State Society Fall Meeting was a great success, and we had some very interactive educational sessions. We had 59 guests in attendance. The accommodations and the venue were both excellent and I want to thank the Arizona State Society Scientific Committee members for orchestrating the event.

In addition, the election for the state officers has concluded. It is with great joy and gratitude that I share the news of my reelection as the President of the Arizona State Society for another term. Serving as your president over the past two terms has been an incredible experience, and I am truly honored to have the opportunity to continue serving you all in this capacity.

Together, we have faced numerous challenges and uncertainties, particularly amidst the confusion brought about by the pandemic. However, thanks to our collective strength and resilience, we have successfully navigated through these trying times. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication.

As we look ahead to 2024, I am pleased to announce the newly elected state officers. Please join me in congratulating Lisa Short on her appointment as the Arizona State Society Vice President, Linda Klock as the Arizona State Society Treasurer, and Juanita Pizzuto as the Arizona State Society Secretary. I have full confidence in their abilities and know that they will excel in their respective roles.

In the coming year, we will undoubtedly encounter new surprises, both favorable and challenging. However, rest assured that the Arizona State Society will remain steadfast in its commitment to support the medical professionals in our state. Whether it is through our regular provision of educational opportunities, facilitating employment networking, or advocating for our professions in Washington, D.C., we will continue to be a reliable resource and a community for all.

I would like to take this opportunity to urge each of you to actively invite your fellow members to our state meetings. Many students complete medical programs and register with AMT without fully realizing the invaluable resources and camaraderie they can find within the Arizona State Society. By encouraging their involvement, we can create a stronger and more unified community that benefits all.

On that note, I am thrilled to announce that we have already begun preparations for the 2024 Arizona State Society Spring Meeting. As always, we are planning to bring you excellent speakers, intriguing topics, and, of course, delicious food. Be on the lookout for email blasts containing specific date and location information, which will be sent out soon.

Additionally, I am excited to share that our annual meeting will be held in St. Louis, Missouri. Attending the Spring Meeting will provide you with the necessary information to participate as an Arizona delegate. It promises to be an eventful and enlightening gathering that you won't want to miss.

Lastly, as the holiday season approaches, I wanted to extend warm holiday greetings to all of you. May this festive season bring you joy, peace, and an abundance of happiness. I also want to wish you all a happy New Year filled with prosperity and success. Please remember to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Thank you once again for your continued support and dedication. I am truly honored to be serving alongside each one of you. Together, let us make 2024 a year of growth, unity, and success.

Sincerely,
Dustin Martinez MLS (AMT)
