School in Lights: American Institute

With locations in West Hartford, CT; Clifton, NJ; Toms River, NJ; and Margate, FL; American Institute strives to be an outstanding provider of hands-on career training in the communities they serve.

In February, American Institute joined the National Wear Red Day and Go Red for Women movement to bring focus to women’s heart health. Students, faculty and staff wore red and educated those within their circle of influence about heart disease in women.

In addition, the Somerset campus hosted a seminar to offer information about healthy eating and nutritional facts on foods, the impact they make on heart health and meal preparation to improve heart and overall health.

This cause was especially meaningful to the allied health students because of the direct relationship to their field of study. The students are passionate about keeping people healthy, and participating in National Wear Red Day allowed them to do that by sharing an important message.
