After All That Work, How Secure is Your Exam?

Preparing to sit for a certification exam is not something most people take lightly. In addition to being a financial investment in your career, it takes a significant amount of time, effort and planning to successfully reach the point where you’re ready for the examination for a professional credential.  

While it is challenging, plenty of test-takers do pass. AMT has 80,000 active members, every one of whom passed an exam at some point. But if you’re going to invest the time to train and prepare, you want to be confident that the test you are taking is conducted both fairly and securely.

Some things to think about:

  • Pearson VUE, a respected third-party provider of secure testing sites. By protecting the integrity of our exam, we also protect the value of the certification for our current and future members. Maintaining the integrity of the exam reflects well on those who take it. A secure testing experience maintains a fair process so all exam-takers have the same opportunity to succeed.
  • Secure but still easy to access: AMT recently surveyed exam applicants about their experience and those who took the exam reported little or no problem with scheduling their exams or getting to a secure site.
  • It matters to employers: Healthcare organizations that hire allied health professionals look for a trusted certification among staff members because it has a direct impact on the quality of patient care.
